Niles North Softball Update

The Niles North Vikings are 1-7 through several weeks of play. The softball team recently lost to Loyola 9-0 on Saturday.

Despite the record, senior Jaclyn Lochner played a strong game, getting two hits against Loyola. Meanwhile, senior Kristin Reichert had a two run homer in the first inning against Rolling Meadows High School. Lochner is batting with a .444 average and has two doubles thus far.

"We have four to five freshman starting at any given time, but [at the same time], we have some strong senior [players]," said coach Karin Wick.

The team will be playing Highland Park on April 17.
