Featured Obituary:

Peter Anthony Frank, Jr. passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 53 in Evanston, IL, following a stroke. Born to Peter A., Sr., and the late Grace Lynn Frank, née Dyal, on October 2, 1970, in East Patchogue, NY, Peter's life was a canvas of creativity, intelligence, and selflessness.

A gifted artist, Peter's arts education began with his undergraduate studies in Fine Art at the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where he honed his natural talent for drawing, painting, photography and sculpture. His passion for art led him to pursue a graduate degree in Sculpture and Glassblowing at the same institution, which set the stage for a decade-long career as a glassblowing artist where he collaborated with his wife Marilyn. Their lighting, vessels and sculptures garnered attention from the media, collectors and art galleries. Eventually their collaboration extended beyond glass into painting, photography, sound, and mixed media sculptures.

In addition to his artistic endeavors, Peter found a new way to impact lives as a Surgical Technologist at NorthShore University Health Systems (now Endeavor Health), where he dedicated 22 years of service. His colleagues remember him as a man who brought precision, dedication, and care to his work, ensuring the well-being of countless patients.

Family was the cornerstone of Peter's life. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn, née Devedjiev. Together, they raised their son, Maxwell Denison, instilling in him the values of compassion, curiosity, and hard work. Peter was also a brother to Jeremy (Ann) and Matthew (Amanda), and uncle to Tyler, Jaylynn, Jules, Tyce, and the late Gavin.

Peter's life was rich with interests that spoke to his multifaceted nature. He was an avid cyclist, often going on morning rides with friends. His love for making music allowed him to express his creativity through electronic audio experiments. Peter was also a lifelong learner, with a keen interest in physics that kept him in constant awe of the universe's mysteries. Above all, he cherished road trips with his family, creating lasting memories and exploring the world with the ones he loved most.
