Pedestrian Killed On I-94; Northbound Lanes Closed: Police

LINCOLNWOOD, IL — A pedestrian died in a crash Sunday morning on the northbound Edens Expressway, closing the interstate, according to state police.

The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at Touhy Avenue in Lincolnwood and involved two vehicles, police said, adding the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northbound Interstate 94 was closed Sunday morning with traffic being detoured onto Peterson Avenue, according to police, who said all lanes had reopened as of shortly after 12:30 p.m.
