Public Works to Clean up Skokie This Week

Local officials were planning ahead this past weekend, announcing dates they'd be hitting the streets to sweep up debris left behind by a cluster of storms.

Skokie Public Works crews will begin making their way through the community on Monday, when they will retrieve fallen branches and other remnants left behind from Saturday's downpour. They will continue through Wednesday, July 27, according to a public notice.

"Residents are asked to please place branches and limbs near the curb in front of their home," the alert said.
