Skokie Man Shot 20-Year-Old Woman, Charged With Attempted Murder: Cops

Chicago police said a Skokie resident shot and seriously wounded a 20-year-old woman last year in Jefferson Park neighborhood.

CHICAGO — Police arrested a Skokie man who they say shot and seriously wounded a woman last year on the Northwest Side of Chicago.

Nathan Frazier, 23, of the 4900 block of Church Street, was arrested Tuesday in the 9000 block of North Lavergne in Skokie, according to Chicago police.

Frazier was charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder in connection with a Nov. 18, 2023, shooting in the Jefferson Park neighborhood.

According to reports from the time, someone shot a 20-year-old woman in her cheek as she sat in a car in the 5600 block of North Austin Avenue.

Detectives somehow identified Frazier as the shooter and prosecutors approved a charge. No further information was immediately available from police. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
