The Skokie Park District won first prize today for its Short Form Video entitled 'Pooch Park' at the Illinois Park & Recreation Association's 2021 Agency Showcase competition.

The video was shot, edited and narrated in January 2021 by social media coordinator Megan Keating, and was posted to Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. It garnered more than 1,500 views on Facebook alone and resulted in 23 new memberships within a week of the posting.

The professionally-judged competition, held at the park and recreation industry's annual state conference in Chicago, spotlights creative ideas in marketing. The Skokie Park District's communications and marketing department has won 20 state design, publication, photo and video awards since 2004.
