Skokie Superfan Has Been to Hawks Games Since 1966

Skokie resident Bob Gertenrich has been to 2,152 consecutive Blackhawks home games, a record streak he started in 1966 at the age of 19, Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The 66-year-old has been to 11 Stanley Cup Final games and even attended a Hawks game the day his mother died in 1991, “She would have wanted me to,” Gertenrich told the newspaper.
