Also, a gun was stolen from an estate sale, cars were broken into and other crimes. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

Criminal Damage to Property

  • Criminal Damage to Property on the 8200 block of Laramie Avenue, between November 9th at 3:00 p.m. and November 10th at 11:30 a.m.  Reported:  11/10/2013. An unknown person(s) damaged the windshield and hood on a Saab while it was parked behind the residence.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

  • Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 8300 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, between November 9th at 10:00 p.m. and November 10th at 8:15 a.m.  Reported:  11/10/2013. An unknown person(s) entered an unlocked Honda and attempted to remove the in-dash CD player, damaging it in the process.  Nothing was reported taken.
  • Burglary from Motor Vehicle at 5330 Old Orchard Road, Lifetime Fitness, on November 10th between 4:00 p.m. and 5:40 p.m.  Reported:  11/10/2013. An unknown person(s) broke the passenger’s window on a Nissan and stole a grey coat from inside the vehicle.

  • Theft on the 5200 block of Dempster Street, on November 9th between 7:31 and 7:32 p.m.  Reported:  11/09/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a men’s mountain bike that was left unsecured.
  • Theft on the 4900 block of Old Orchard Road, on November 10th between 6:00 p.m. and 6:20 p.m.  Reported:  11/10/2013. An unknown person(s) stole the victim’s cell phone that had been left unattended.

Theft of Labor or Services

  • Theft of Labor or Services on the 4800 block of Dempster Street, on November 11th at 5:00 a.m.  Reported:  11/11/2013. An unknown female subject failed to pay the full price for her cab fare and took off northbound on foot.  The subject is described as a heavy set, 200 lbs., female black, 22-24 years of age, wearing a white top, dark colored pants with a possible first name of Andrea.

  • Burglary on the 9200 block of Kildare Avenue, on November 9th between 7:41 a.m. and 3: 30 p.m.  Reported:  11/10/2013. An unknown person(s) entered the home during an estate sale and stole cash and a gun.

Battery

  • Battery on the 3400 block of Church Street, on September 19th at 12:00 p.m.  Reported:  11/11/2013. The victim told police that she was walking down the sidewalk at night when she was hit in the face by an unknown female subject.  The subject is described as a female white subject, 16-18 years of age, with long black hair, 5’7” – 5’8” tall with a skinny build.  The subject was wearing a black tank top, blue sweatpants and a white scarf.  The victim told police that the subject may have “assumed” that she “looked at her funny” and that’s what started the altercation.

  • Ross, Kenneth Prenell, 50, 2300 block of Greenwood Street, Evanston, was arrested on charges of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License and Resist, Obstruct or Disarm An Officer on the 8900 block of Kenton on 11/10/2013.
  • Torres-Patino, Isreal, 30, 400 block of Elmwood #1W, Evanston, was arrested on charges of Driving With no Valid Driver’s License on the 4100 block of Main Street, on 11/10/2013.
  • Cowans, Shawn E., 36, 6600 block of Kenwood #202, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Driving on a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 3800 block of Dempster Street, on 11/11/2013.
