Stricter DUI and Seat Belt Enforcement Start Friday
Here's what's up Today In Skokie.
- Come help Sunny the Subaru House Dog celebrate his third birthday party at Evanston Subaru in Skokie, which never runs dry of creative ways to interact with the community. Anyway--there's cake at 1:30 p.m. at the dealership, on Oakton Street, and you can bring your canine pals, too.
- Friday starts the Labor Day "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" crackdown by Skokie Police. They'll be extra vigilant for drunk drivers and people not wearing their seat belts. Expect checkpoints next week.
- Are your kids going to start kindergarten, but doesn't know what to expect? Lessen the anxiety by taking them to the "Get Ready, Get Set...Kindergarten" story time at Skokie Library.
