Skokie, Oakton Community College Offer Workforce Training Scholarships
To qualify, residents must be unemployed or underemployed and their household monthly gross income must be within 150% of the poverty line.

The Village of Skokie Health and Human Services Department, in partnership with the Oakton Community College, is offering Skokie residents seeking to improve their resume and re-enter the workforce a grant for free tuition for one of Oakton Community College’s short-term certificate programs (18 credit hours or less). To qualify for this program, residents must be unemployed or underemployed and their household monthly gross income must be within 150% of the Federal Poverty Level.

A variety of certificate courses are available for Microsoft Office programs, Computer Information Systems, CAD training, health careers and much more.
Residents interested in applying for this program must submit an application-link to application and supporting paperwork to the Village no later than March 31, 2022. Residents without access to the internet can obtain an application by calling 847/933-8208 or emailing iris.barrios@skokie.org.
