Watch Sky Squad Fly Through The Air In Skokie Wednesday

Here's what's up Today in Skokie. A clinic for back-to-school shots (ouch), an inspiring public speaker and grown-up Tumblers.

  • Can you fly? No, we didn't think so. But Chicago Sky Squad can leap through the air. They'll be entertaining tonight at 7 p.m. at the Wednesdays on the Green entertainment in front of the Skokie Library. The Wednesdays website promises "dazzling acrobatic flips and twists off mini trampolines mixed with comedy antics, midair passes and dynamic slam dunking."  Sounds like what Jesse White Tumblers want to be when they grow up.
  • Have your kids gotten their back to school shots yet? The Skokie Health Department has a walk-in clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday. Shots are $6 for eligible children. Call 847-933-8252 for more information.
  • Get inspired to become a better public speaker. Niles Township Toastmasters is excited to welcome, and hear a speech from Pres Vasilev, who won the District 30 Spring Conference International Speech Contest Winner. He's on his way to Cincinnati to compete at the Toastmasters International Convention next week.
