Armed Robbery

Police responded to an armed robbery report at 7-Eleven, 5363 Lincoln Ave., at approximately 4:35 a.m. on Oct. 21. Police stated two black male subjects, one described as 6-feet to 6-foot one inches tall, slim build, wearing a black hooded sweater with a silver zipper, black jeans with white designs around the back pockets and dark colored shoes, and the other described as 5-foot 8 inches to 6 feet tall, slim build, short braids, wearing a black puffy vest with a gray hooded sweater underneath, light color blue jeans and light color shoes, entered the convenience store between 4:27 a.m. and 4:32 a.m. on Oct. 21.

The first male subject brought a 32-ounce bottle of pink Gatorade to the counter and gave the clerk a $10 bill to purchase it while the second male subject stood in the center aisle, police stated.

When the clerk opened the cash register to make change, according to police, the male subject removed a black handgun from his waistband, pointed the gun at the clerk and said, “Give me all the money. You got three seconds or I’m going to shoot!”

After the clerk gave the male subject money from the cash register, he said, according to police, “Now open the safe. You got three seconds to open that safe or I will shoot!”

The clerk told the male subject he did not have access to the safe, after which the male subject said, according to the report, “Go to the back right now!”

The clerk went to the back office and the two male subjects exited the store.

It was unknown at the time the police report was completed how much money was taken from the cash register, police state.

Catalytic converter ripped from pickup

A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a pickup truck parked on the 8600 block of Central Park Avenue sometime between 4 p.m. on Sept. 2 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 3. When the converter was sawed from the vehicle the offender the transmission fluid line was damaged, police stated, and wires for the O2 sensor were ripped and damaged. Property loss was estimated at $1,000.
