- Aldi has backpacks for $6.99 and insulated lunch totes for $2.99. There's an Aldi store at 4833 Oakton, Skokie.
- Walgreens has Crayola markers (10-pack) or colored pencils (12-pack) on sale for $1.99, through Aug. 10. There are Walgreens stores in Skokie in the 4100 block of Dempster Street and the 4800 block of Oakton, among others.
- Target has the following on sale for 99 cents, through Aug. 10: Fiskars Scissors, 10-count Crayola markers, 70-page Mead notebook, 1-inch Avery binder, 8-count Bic Shimmer mechanical pencils. There's a Target in the 6100 block of Touhy in Niles, near Village Crossing.
- Office Depot has 8-packs of pencils, 24-packs of crayons, 10-packs of pens and 4-oz. bottles of glue for 25 cents, through Aug. 10. There's an Office Depot on Golf Road, near Milwaukee Avenue.
- WalMart has notebooks for 17 cents and Samsung Galaxy Tablets for $169, though Aug. 10. There's a Walmart on Touhy Ave. in Niles, just across from Village Crossing.
