2 Dead After SWAT Response On South Side
Police responding to a report of a woman being held against her will by her boyfriend heard gunshots before finding two people dead.
CHICAGO, IL — Two people were found dead after Chicago police conducting a well-being check heard multiple gunshots at a home in the 8400 block of Mackinaw Avenue.
Police were called to the home around 9:45 p.m. Friday for a report of a woman possibly being held against her will by her boyfriend.
When officers knocked, police said a man came to the window and closed the curtains. "After some words," officers heard five gunshots, police said.

Officers, who were unhurt, took cover and called in a SWAT unit.
Two people, a 30-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, were found in the house with gunshot wounds to the head. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation.
