4 Injured As Residents Jump From Window Of Burning Building: Cops
Fire officials said 4 people, including 1 police officer, were injured during the fire Thursday night.

SOUTH SIDE, IL — Four people were injured, including a Chicago police officer, during an apartment fire Thursday night where residents jumped from the windows to avoid the blaze.
Fire officials were dispatched to the 6400 block of South Morgan Street at around 9:45 p.m., according to a social media statement. Video footage taken by fire officials at the scene shows flames spitting out of windows on two floors.
The police officer was taken to a local hospital in good condition and one woman who leapt from the building was taken in fair condition, officials said.

Two men, ages 52 and 62, were also hospitalized with smoke inhalation and burns and are listed in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, a spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department said Friday.
