CHICAGO — A 73-year-old woman died Tuesday morning in a house fire on the far South Side.

Just before 7 a.m., Chicago firefighters responded to a house fire in the 11100 block of South Avenue N. Fire crews found a woman unresponsive on the floor. She was pronounced at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No other injuries were reported.
