Chicago Firefighter Seriously Hurt Battling Blaze On Far South Side
The firefighter remained in serious condition as of Monday morning.
CHICAGO — A Chicago firefighter was seriously injured battling a blaze over the weekend on the city’s far South Side.
The firefighter was on the scene of a fire around 9 p.m. at East 90th Street and South Langley Avenue in the Chatham neighborhood, fire department spokesperon Larry Langford said, adding the firefighter suffered injuries that were severe but not life-threatening.
As of Monday morning the firefighter remained in serious condition and the incident was under investigation, according to Langford.
