Family In Desperate Search Missing, Endangered South Side Woman Last Seen 2 Weeks Ago
The family of Felicia Bates, 49, say she has not been heard from since July 2. She told family members she was headed to Nicholas Park.

CHICAGO — A family is engaged in a desperate search for a woman who has not been heard from in over two weeks. Felicia Bates, 49, was last seen July 2, in the area of the 7400 block of South Jeffrey Boulevard. She is considered an endangered missing person.
Bates Is known to frequent the downtown Chicago and Hyde Park areas. She told family members that she was going to Nicholas Park in Hyde Park, and is believed to have boarded a CTA bus at 75th Street and Jeffrey Avenue.
Chicago police described said Bates is a Black female, 5-feet, 6-inches tall, weighing approximately 240 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and a dark brown complexion. Bates was last seen wearing a maroon top, blue pants and pink gym shoes.

On Sunday, Bate’s relatives were passing out flyers for the missing woman at Nicholas Park, hoping someone may have seen her. Her family said that Bates needs medication for mental health issues and doubt she’s been taking it, NBC 5 Chicago reported.
“As a family, we are asking the community near and far to help us bring our loved one home," her aunt, Callie Logan told NBC 5 Chicago. “She needs her medication. It is significant and important she gets her medication. Anyone, if you have seen something, say something.”
