Garrett Popcorn Opens New Shop At Midway Airport
Officials cut the ribbon on a new Garrett Popcorn Shop at Midway Airport in honor of National Popcorn Day.

CHICAGO — In honor of National Popcorn Day, the Chicago Department of Aviation and Chicago hometown favorite, Garrett Popcorn Shops, cut the ribbon Thursday at the first Garrett Popcorn Shop at Midway International Airport.
“The opening of Midway’s first Garrett Popcorn Shop is the latest step in the Midway Modernization Program’s concessions redevelopment,” CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee said in a news release. “The program has already revamped Midway’s security pavilion and parking garage, and the CDA is excited to move the program forward with several new concessions that are slated to open in the terminal over the next year.”
The new shop, located in the airport’s Central Market, is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and serves fan-favorites like Garrett Mix, CheeseCorn, CaramelCrisp and a variety of Nut CaramelCrisp recipes, in addition to classics like Buttery and Plain. Garrett’s popcorn is cooked fresh on site. Flavors are all available in special tins featuring the Chicago skyline and local sports teams like the Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks and Bears. The storefront features an iconic giant Garrett Popcorn tin in front of a mural of the Chicago skyline, perfect for selfie opportunities.
