Juveniles Charged After Jeep Crash In South Chicago
Teen faces felony charges after stolen Jeep hits police car, car dealership

SOUTH CHICAGO-Three juveniles were charged with speeding in a stolen vehicle and crashing into several cars — including an unmarked police car — in the South Chicago neighborhood.
The children were allegedly speeding in a Jeep Cherokee around 4:30 p.m. Saturday when they rear-ended the unmarked police car and sped away, police said. Officers chased the Jeep to Union Auto Sales car dealership at 8700 S. South Chicago Ave., where it drove into nine parked cars before flipping.
A 13-year-old boy faces three felony counts of aggravated assault with a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and a misdemeanor count of resisting an officer, police said. A 10-year-old and 12-year-old face misdemeanor counts of trespass to a vehicle, police said.

The children were treated for minor injuries and taken into custody.
