Police said the man, described in his 20s or 30s, asked three kids if he could use their cell phone in attempt to get them into a car.
CHICAGO — Police are searching for a man who attempted to lure children into the car he was in before fleeing the area in the city’s Bridgeport neighborhood on Sunday morning.
Police said that the man, who is described as being in his 20s or 30s, had multiple tattoos on both arms and was not wearing a shirt at the time, was in a gray sedan that pulled up to an area in the 3100 block of South Halsted Street, where three children were playing just after 8 a.m. on Sunday, police said.
The man reportedly asked the children if he could use their cell phones in an attempt to lure them into the car. The vehicle, which police said was being driven by a woman in her 40s or 50s, then sped off when a bystander intervened, police said.
