2 CPD Officers Injured In Rollover Crash In South Chicago
Officers listed in fair condition after southbound rollover crash on Yates Boulevard

SOUTH CHICAGO, IL — Two Chicago police officers were injured in a crash Monday when their squad car rolled over after being struck in South Chicago.
The Chicago police Ford Explorer SUV was traveling southbound on Yates Boulevard shortly after midnight when it was struck by a Buick in the intersection at East 85th Street, causing the police cruiser to roll over on its side, according to Chicago police.
A male and female officer were transported to University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition, according to police.

The Buick driver, a 41-year-old man, stayed at the scene after the crash and was uninjured, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
