Reward Increased To $20K For Info In Murders Of Father, Son During Jewelry Store Robbery
Chicago police are asking for the public's help identifying two suspects tied to a jewelry store robbery where a father and son were shot.

CHICAGO — Video and still images have been released of two men believed tied to the double homicide of a father and son in a jewelry store armed robbery last Saturday, in Little Village.
Faustino Alamo Dominguez, 63, and his 25-year-old son, Luis Alamo, were gunned down outside the jewelry store in the 3800 block of West 26th Street, where both were employed.
Police said the father and son were shot while struggling with an armed robber who entered their business around 5:49 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8. They were shot in the street after chasing the purported robber who had fled their business after just 30 seconds inside.

Faustino and Luis were both transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Witnesses told police they saw two men shooting and saw victims lying on the ground, according to CWB Chicago. About a dozen shell casings were recovered.

The first suspect, wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey, is believed to be the one who entered the business and then started shooting in the street after leaving the jewelry store. He is described by police as African American. In addition to the Blackhawks jersey, the man appears on surveillance video wearing a tan bucket hat, tan pants and black shoes.
The second suspect is an African American male, wearing a black North Face hooded jacket, brown brim baseball hat, glasses, black cargo pants and gray sneakers. Chicago police have not shared how they think the second man was involved.

The man in the Blackhawks jersey was last seen getting into a white SUV that fled southbound on Springfield Avenue, police said.

The Jewelers’ Security Alliance has joined Cook County Crime Stoppers in posting a reward of up to $10,000, bringing the total reward to $20,000, for information leading to the arrests and conviction of the persons responsible for the robbery.
The JSA also sent out an alert, asking if any jewelry store encountered individuals acting suspiciously or came into contact with the suspect on or in the days leading up to the Nov. 8 double homicide. Businesses or the public are asked to JSA’s Reward Hotline at 212-687-0328 or email JSA at jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org
“If you wish to remain anonymous, measures will be taken to protect your identity while still allowing payment of the reward,” the alliance said in a statement.”
JSA’s reward program is funded by the jewelry industry.
Cook County Crime Stoppers is also offering a $10,000 reward. Anyone with information about the crime is encouraged to make an anonymous call to the Cook County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-535-STOP (1-800-535-7867) or go online to CPDTIPS.com. If your information results in the arrest, you’re eligible for a cash reward up to $10,000.
