The St. Charles Fire Department won the 2014 Electric Christmas Parade “best of show” honors for the Nov. 29 spectacle on Main Street. The event was part of the St. Charles Holiday Homecoming weekend that featured the Lighting of the Lights ceremony, sleigh rides, visits with Santa and more. The Downtown St. Charles Partnership said the parade drew a crowd of 17,500 people. Winners were announced Friday.
