Woman, 20, Critically Injured In Kane County Crash

The 20-year-old Geneva woman suffered multiple traumatic injuries and the 19-year-old driver was also injured.

KANE COUNTY, IL — A 20-year-old Geneva woman is in critical condition following a one-vehicle crash in Kane County Thursday morning.

The Kane County Sheriff's Office was called to the collision near the 42W300 block of Ke De Ka Road in Sugar Grove Township at about 8 a.m. Thursday. Authorities say a 2014 Honda Civic was headed west on Ke Da Ka Road when the vehicle went off the roadway and hit a utility pole.

The 19-year-old driver was taken to Mercy Hospital with minor injuries. A passenger, a 20-year-old Geneva woman, was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital with multiple traumatic injuries.

She was listed in critical condition, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
