ST. CHARLES, IL — Aldermen reviewed a plan proposed for the former Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, which could bring 12 to 15 stores, restaurants and other commercial buildings, including a car dealership, to the property.

The Daily Herald is reporting the Monday meeting was an informal review of The Shops at Pheasant Run, which is being proposed by SC Landman. The proposed gas station and truck stop, as well as the car washes on the site, did not bring positive feedback from some aldermen.

Pheasant Run Resort opened in 1963 and closed in 2020. Part of the buildings at the former resort have been razed following an arson fire in 2022.
