Ascend Dispensary Outlet Store Now Open In Tinley Park

TINLEY PARK, IL — A New York-based cannabis company expanded its presence in Illinois Monday, with the debut of its dispensary outlet store in Tinley Park.

Ascend Wellness opened its location at 16200 S. Harlem Ave., the company's first outlet store in Illinois. The recreational dispensary chain currently has 27 storefronts across six states.

"We are excited to be expanding our retail presence with the opening of our 27th dispensary and our fifth outlet store," said Kathleen Olivastro, Regional Vice President of Retail Operations at Ascend Wellness Holdings. "Our Tinley Park store offers a convenient location and a great shopping experience for our customers to access a wide range of products and high-quality cannabis at everyday low prices."

Village officials approved the recreational dispensary's arrival in Tinley Park at the former Bandana's Bar-B-Q building a year ago, with a year's planning prior, and officials vetting multiple companies seeking to move into the space. Tinley Park can tax 3 percent on products sold at the facility.

The dispensary will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will offer adult-use cannabis products with seven point-of-sale terminals, accepting both cash and cashless ATM terminals for debit cards.

As an outlet concept, the company touts it offers "flower at a fraction" of the price. The outlet joins Ascend's four outlets across the portfolio in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Scranton, Pennsylvania; Wayne, Pennsylvania; and New Bedford, Massachusetts.

The dispensary will offer Ascend's full catalog of top-tier brands, including a full menu of premium flower, edibles, vapes, and concentrate products. Customers must be at least 21 years old to purchase from the dispensary. Check out their website for more info.
