Downtown Tinley Park, Harmony Square Set To Sparkle In Holiday Happenings 2025

TINLEY PARK, IL — With its community tree already aglow and the new ice rink open, the Village of Tinley Park this weekend will amp up the festive feel in the downtown, with the return of Holiday Happenings.

Set for noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, the festivities take place in and around Harmony Square, 6700 North St.

Visitors are invited to shop for gifts at a holiday market featuring nearly 30 vendors inside a large heated tent, or step outside for ice skating, horse-drawn carriage rides, and a holiday light show at the top of every hour.

Photos with Santa (from 12 to 5 p.m. both days), live holiday music and performances, and food and beverages for sale will round out the weekend's activities.

Holiday Happenings will end with the Parade of Lights down Oak Park Avenue at 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Village previously flipped the switch to light the town's tree on Nov. 21, so don't miss a chance to see it up close.

Flipside Brewing Owner Erik Pizer said he's eager to be part of the event. Now in its third year of business, Flipside is located at 7144 183rd St.

"I’m excited to bring Flipside to Harmony Square," Pizer said, "and see some new faces that might still not know about our beers, smashburgers, and all that we do at the brewpub."
