Driver In Multi-Car Crash Remains Hospitalized, Is Stable: Tinley PD
One driver involved in a multi-car crash Saturday at 159th and 80th Avenue remains hospitalized Wednesday, police said.
TINLEY PARK, IL — A driver remains hospitalized after a crash involving three cars Saturday, and the accident remains under investigation, Tinley Park police said Wednesday.
The crash happened at 159th and 80th Avenue Saturday just after 5:30 p.m. A driver was southbound on 80th Avenue at what's believed to be at a high rate of speed, when he entered the intersection of 159th and 80th, lost control of his vehicle and struck northbound vehicles, said Tinley Park Police Deputy Chief Larry Rafferty.
Orland Park firefighters responded to the scene, with Tinley Park Police.

The driver of the first car was taken to the hospital, where he remains and is listed as in stable condition. The drivers of the other cars involved were also all taken to area hospitals and have since been released.
The crash remains under investigation by Tinley Park police. Officers are gathering surveillance footage from stores in the area. It's unclear as of Wednesday if there will be any charges filed.
