NAS Testing Center To Host Thanksgiving Food Drive

TINLEY PARK, IL — NAS Testing Center is hosting a Thanksgiving drive-thru food drive this year to aid in assisting families this holiday season.

The food drive will take place at 7460 Duvan Drive, on Saturday, Nov. 20, to help local families celebrate their Thanksgiving to the fullest.

This is the first time the center is hosting a food drive in this area, according to a news release. The event will run from 4-6 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring canned and boxed goods.

To donate, families can drive through the testing area to drop off the food. If attending the event is unfeasible, participants can donate on the center's Instagram. NAS Testing Center will buy any goods they are lacking and donate to a local charity with the funds, according to the release.

Goodie bags will be provided as a thank-you gift from NAS Testing Center to families, as well as an informational sheet about NAS Testing Center, allowing residents to learn more about it.

The release states that the COVID-19 pandemic has put families in difficult positions this holiday season, which is supposed to be a time families can enjoy each other's company most. Due to this, the center decided to host the drive to assist families this Thanksgiving.

NAS Testing Center opened its doors in Tinley Park in January, and offers rapid and PCR COVID-19 testing.
