No Injuries In Tinley Park Car Fire That Engulfed Car: State Police

Police said no one was injured Wednesday night in a fire that appeared to engulf the entire car on Interstate 80.

TINLEY PARK, IL — No one was injured in a car fire Wednesday night that left the vehicle engulfed in flames, state police said.

According to Illinois State Troopers, the car caught fire on Interstate 80 near milepost 147 at around 10:30 p.m. Fire and state officials responded and the person inside the vehicle was able to get out before the fire grew.

State police did not immediately respond to questions on how the fire started.
