TINLEY PARK, IL — A power outage in Tinley Park is affecting the village's phone lines and other forms of communication, officials said.

The electricity failure is due to a Comcast outage which officials said Tuesday did not appear to be impacting other suburbs. The non-emergency phone lines into Village Hall were down beginning at noon and were still offline as of 1:30 p.m.

Fire alarm services are also affected, officials said, which means businesses should be on high alert and call 9-1-1 in the event of a fire.
