Reminder: No, You Don't Need To Buy A Vehicle Sticker This Year
Your current Village of Tinley Park vehicle sticker expires April 30, but there's no need to grab a new one.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Heads up, Tinley Park residents.
You don't need to purchase a vehicle sticker this year, after officials in February voted to do away with the decades-old requirement.
Current stickers expire April 30, but you won't need to swap it out for a new one. Anyone who still wants one—for nostalgia's sake?—can still get one for free at Village Hall, 16250 Oak Park Ave.

Village Clerk Nancy O'Connor in February applauded officials' decision to abandon the program.
"This is an ordinance that is 50-something years old, that has far outlived its time," O'Connor said. "... It's a small amount, but more than that, it's the gesture of doing the right thing. That's what this is about. ... This is for the residents, it's a gesture of good will. It's the right thing to do."
