All Clear Given After Suspicious Package Reported At Tinley Post Office
The post office and immediate area were evacuated as a precaution Saturday afternoon.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park police and the Cook County Sheriff's bomb squad were called to the Tinley Park Post Office on Saturday after receiving a report of a suspicious package, Village Manager Pat Carr told Patch.
Around 2:40 p.m., Carr said authorities had cleared the scene.
No further details about the package were provided.

During the investigation, authorities evacuated the post office, 7230 171st St., and the immediate area, Carr said. Police also closed 171st Street to traffic, Carr said.
