Tinley Park Rolls Out Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

There will be 16 chargers, available for use and payment with an app.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Starting Dec. 2, the Village of Tinley Park will roll out a new Electronic Vehicle (EV) charging system. Users will be able to plug in their EV and pay with the EV Connect app.

There will be 16 chargers in downtown Tinley, at the Tinley Park Convention Center, and at Village Hall. Currently there are six chargers installed in Downtown Tinley.

The rate for the chargers is $0.40 per kilowatt hour for the first three hours, and then $5 for each additional hour after that. Users can download the EV Connect app to pay for charging on iPhone and Android.
