Tinley Park Teen Hit By Freight Train And Killed
The accident happened Tuesday night near the 80th Avenue Station, according to the Will Co. Coroner's Office.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A 19-year-old Tinley Park man was killed when he was hit by a freight train Tuesday night, according to the Will County Coroner's Office. Metra police are investigating the incident.
Shane P. Gillane was struck by a westbound freight train near the 80th Avenue Metra station, the coroner's office said. He suffered multiple injuries from the incident, and he was pronounced dead at 11:05 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, according to the coroner's office.
An autopsy was performed on Gillane on Wednesday, but a cause of death won't be given until toxicology results are back and the police investigation is complete, the coroner's office said.
