Tinley Park's Memorial School Celebrates 60th Anniversary
The District 146 school marks 60 years of educating students this year. Some special events are in store for the occasion.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Memorial School is celebrating 60 years of education this year. The school opened its doors for the 1962-1963 school year. Students and staff have been celebrating the anniversary throughout the year.
Students and families will celebrate Memorial’s Anniversary together on May 9. The school will be open for a Walk Through Time from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Beginning at 6 p.m., the PTA will be hosting a Memorial Mingle with hot dogs and a bake sale.
An Alumni Open House will be held on May 11. Alumni and other members of the public are invited to tour the school and take the Walk Through Time. Some local restaurants will also be offering discounts on this evening.

Community Consolidated School District 146 is comprised of Central Middle School, Fierke Education Center, Fulton School, Kruse Education Center, and Memorial School. Students from Tinley Park, Orland Park, and Oak Forest attend District 146 schools.
