The program is being coordinated by the White House Business Council, Select USA and the International Economic Development Council.
“We are certain that Ivan’s expertise will be an important addition to the discussions,” said Trustee David Seaman, who is the chairman of the Finance and Economic Development Committee.
In preparation for the summit, Baker is obtaining economic development policy recommendations from leaders of the Illinois Development Council, elected leaders and business executives.
Baker has been an economic developer for the past 32 years and is the only Illinois board member on the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). He is also one of only 35 professionals in the nation who is dual certified as a CEcD Certified Economic Developer and AICP Certified Planner.
“It has been an honor to serve on the IEDC Board, and it is a privilege to be included on the invitation list for the White House summit,” Baker said.
