District 128 Approves $84.5 Million Tentative Budget
Tax revenue the district will collect over the next year is expected to be down 2.4 percent over last fiscal year, reports the Daily Herald.

The board of education forΒ Community High School District 128, which operates schools in Vernon Hills and Libertyville,Β approved a tentative budget for fiscal year 2014Β that reflects an increase of about 3.4 percent, reported theΒ Daily Herald.
The $84.5 million tentative budget, approved at Monday's board meeting,Β includesΒ contractual increases in salaries and benefits along withΒ a $500,000 increase in construction costs, according to the story.
A public hearing is scheduled for Aug. 12 at LHS, with final approval on the board's Aug. 26 agenda.
