George Ryan Heads Home From Halfway House

The former Illinois Governor only spent hours in the halfway house where he was expected to stay until July.

Ryan was released from prison yesterday after serving more than five yearsΒ for corruption charges. He was expected to stay in the halfway house until July.Β The Chicago Sun-Times reportsΒ his release from the home was unexpected, and was a decision by the Bureau of Prisons.Β 

Ryan will be under house arrest until July, the Tribune reports.Β
