Burglary, Reckless Rider: Western Springs Cops

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest weekly blotter. Here is information from the reports:

Car burglary

  • An unlocked car was burglarized between 1:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Friday at Spring Rock Park. A wallet containing $250 was stolen.

Reckless rider

  • An officer saw two youths on an electric bike about 4 p.m. Friday near Gilbert and Burlington avenues. One of them was charged with reckless conduct under a village ordinance.

Trespassing

  • A 62-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 8 p.m. Friday on a charge of criminal trespassing. Officers responded to a report of a drunk man at Mariano's, 4700 Willow Springs Road. The same man has been repeatedly arrested on trespassing charges over the years in Elmhurst, according to police reports.

Marijuana

  • A youth was charged with possession of less than 10 ounces of marijuana April 30 at Lyons Township High School's South Campus, 4900 Willow Spring Road.
