Car Stuck in Mud after Teen Drives into Sereda Park: Police

Officers found the car in the middle of the park and issued the teen a citation for reckless conduct, according to the report.

A Western Springs teen found herself in a sticky situation Sunday after police said she drove her car into the middle of Sereda Park.

Police received a call in the early evening about a car that was driving recklessly through the park, located at 3940 Hampton Avenue. When they arrived, officers said they found Elizabeth P. Thomson’s car stuck in the mud.

Thomson, 18, of the 4100 block of Linden Avenue in Western Springs, was arrested around 7:38 p.m., police said.

She was issued a local ordinance citation for reckless conduct, according to the report.
