Death Threats To Western Springs Restaurant: Cops
"Your chef is going to die tonight," the suspect was quoted as saying.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – An Elmhurst man is accused of threatening to kill employees of a Western Springs restaurant, calling the place as many as 200 times, police said.
Last month, the 25-year-old man was arrested on charges of telephone harassment and criminal damage. Western Springs requested a felony charge, which a Cook County prosecutor denied.
Earlier this week, the man was arrested on four counts of battery in Elmhurst. Police said he battered two sisters at his home.

Through a public records request, Patch obtained the police report from Western Springs.
In the early afternoon of June 22, police were called after the man telephoned Hillgrove Tap, 800 Hillgrove Ave, and threatened, "Your chef is going to die tonight," according to the report.

He then proceeded to call the eatery an estimated 150 to 200 times. At one point, an officer answered the phone, identified himself, and asked the man to stop calling or he would be arrested, police said.
The man did not, according to the report. He was arrested later that afternoon.
Through an investigation, police said they learned the man had issues with someone at the restaurant who may have dated the suspect's girlfriend, a former restaurant employee. (The police report stated the suspect was a former employee, but the restaurant owner said that is untrue.)
Police said slash marks were discovered on the driver and passenger sides of a black 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in the parking lot. Surveillance footage showed the same suspect committing the crime, the report said.
