The spring resurfacing of Hillgrove Avenue from Wolf Road west to the Public Works Garage is now all but complete, with the final touches—the installation of canopy anchors for the French Market—to be completed on Wednesday. Paving, surfacing and landscape restoration have all been finished, and the road has a fresh, sleek black look with newly-painted lines. All parking spaces are now reopened, and commuters are now instructed (by the Western Springs Department of Municipal Services) to resume parking on the south side of Hillgrove, instead of the Tischler's parking lot that has served as a fill-in. Weather permitting, Wednesday will be the final day of any traffic restrictions on Hillgrove.
