LTHS, D101 Cancel Monday Classes

Lyons Township High School District 204 Western Springs School District 101, and LaGrange Highlands School District 106 have all canceled school Monday due to to the frigid weather.

"Due to the extreme weather conditions, LT will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 27, 2014," a statement from District 204 superintendent Tim Kilrea states. "The combination of the dangerously cold temperatures expected for our area, no assurances that buses will function properly and in an effort to keep students and staff safe, all after school activities are also cancelled and will be re-scheduled; this includes all athletic practices and club meetings. At this point, school will resume as normally scheduled with students in attendance on Tuesday." 

District 101 announced its cancelation on its homepage Sunday evening. District 106 did the same.

Monday will be the third weather-related off day for students of all three districts.
