Man Harasses Western Springs Restaurant: Cops
He was charged with telephone harassment and criminal damage.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A man made threatening calls to Hillgrove Tap, 800 Hillgrove Ave., in Western Springs, police said.
The 25-year-old Elmhurst man, whom police said was a former employee, was arrested June 22 on charges of criminal damage and telephone harassment.
In an email to Patch on Tuesday, Chris Elsey, owner of Hillgrove Tap, said the police report's information on the disturbance contained false information.

"The criminal who did those terrible acts never worked at Hillgrove Tap," Elsey said.

Damage
- Tires were reported damaged overnight June 21 at two houses in the 600 block of 54th Place, three houses in the 5300 block of Johnson Avenue and one house in the 5300 block of Caroline Avenue. The next night, another resident in the 5300 block of Caroline Avenue reported tire damage. The streets are next to each other.
Fraud
- A resident in the 5000 block of Commonwealth Avenue told police Thursday that someone wrote three checks totaling $8,054 using her routing number.
Theft
- Two pieces of lawn maintenance equipment were reported stolen Friday from the parkway in the 3900 block of Central Avenue.
Disorderly conduct
- A 28-year-old Chicago man was cited about 9:40 p.m. Friday at the train station, 914 Burlington Ave., on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said he urinated in the bushes.
