The Chorus of DuPage is a men’s barbershop group founded in 1961 performing at private, public and charitable venues. Performing special arrangements of today’s ballads, show tunes, and hymns as well as old-time barbershop favorites.

We will have an Air Force Color Guard, flag ceremony, with representatives from the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force, and special tribute to veterans in the audience.

Should doctors help patients prepare for death? If you knew you were dying, would you want to be in a hospital seeking a miraculous recovery? Or would you rather be at home, surrounded by loved ones? This conversation won’t be fun, but it may well be what matters most. Join Chaplain Carol to view and discuss the PBS video called “Being Mortal”, based on the best-selling book by Atul Gawande, M.D.

Wednesday, 11/18: Generations Family Support, Dole Hall 7:00pm
Plymouth Place will be hosting “Generations,” a new quarterly program for family members to learn more about Plymouth Place, its services and topics related to caring for a loved one. The first session will feature a panel discussion with Plymouth Place staff members. The panel will review the various levels of care at Plymouth Place and discuss how to work together with family and the resident to ensure that the resident is getting the right level of service to remain independent. Jackie Terpstra, HCC Administrator, Jeannie Mikso, Hospital Liaison, Ellen Masuret, Director of Residents Services, and Victoria Dzierbicki, Manager of Residents Services will provide an overview of their areas. After the panel discussion, informal round-tables will allow attendees to meet each other and ask staff specific questions. For more information, please contact Allyson Zak at 482-6840.

Serbian Folklore Group SOKO was established in 1962 by Mr. Dragan Jordanovich and is based in Chicago, IL, as an integral part of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral. SOKO folklore group has toured throughout North America and is widely acclaimed as one of the best Serbian folklore groups on the continent!
