The bill, which proposes five new casinos, moved to the House Thursday. Prior to the Senate vote, Link told members the <a href="http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20130501/news/705019763/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">new casinos could generate an initial $1.2 billion</a> for the deficit state, reported the Daily Herald. Gov. Pat Quinn vetoed two earlier bills related to gambling expansion, though his office has responded to this latest proposal by stating it is being reviewed  <a href="http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/19843995-418/illinois-senate-oks-gambling-bill-that-would-bring-casino-to-chicago.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">"appears to be moving in the right direction,"</a> reported the Chicago Sun-Times.
