The Village of Western Springs is accepting applications to fill a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position in the Public Works Division.
This semi-skilled position performs manual work in general facilities and in public works construction and maintenance activities. Work involves various tasks, requiring use of hand tools and light to heavy equipment used in general maintenance and repair activities.

Work is often performed under difficult conditions, including extreme weather, cramped space or underground areas. The successful candidate will hold a high school diploma, possess knowledge of standard work tools and have a valid IL driver’s license and ability to obtain a CDL, Class B license within two months.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds on an infrequent basis. Sufficient strength and agility are required to perform manual tasks for prolonged periods.

Salary range starts at $19.40 with benefits. Position requires overtime for emergency work, including snow plowing.
