In another case, two people entered a car in a local neighborhood, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:

Fraud

  • A resident in the 100 block of 51st Place told police she was scammed out of $100,000 to $200,000 for services. The report was filed Jan. 21. Patch has filed a public records request for the report.

Trespassing

  • Two people entered an unlocked car about 11 p.m. Jan. 20 in the 6000 block of Burr Oak Drive. Nothing was reported stolen.

Porch piracy

  • A package was stolen Dec. 21 in the 400 block of Harvey Avenue. It was valued at $521.

Tobacco possession

  • A juvenile at McClure Junior High School, 4225 Wolf Road, was cited Jan. 21 on a local ordinance charge of possession of tobacco.

Marijuana possession

  • A juvenile at Lyons Township High School's South Campus, 4900 Willow Springs Road, was cited Jan. 22 on a local ordinance charge of possession of marijuana. Another was cited on the same charge Jan. 17.
